SuperConcepts has announced its final major software update to SuperMate for 2021 in order to deliver more secure protocols for its clients next year.
The SMSF administration, software and training provider stated the next iteration of SuperMate – version 4.62 – had been released and would continue to be available after the introduction of the next generation of the software in February 2022.
SuperConcepts chief technology officer Andy Forbes said the current generation of SuperMate was an ongoing part of the company’s product strategy.
“There’s a real need for desktop SMSF software and the existing SuperMate, dubbed SuperMate Classic, will not be retiring,” Forbes said.
He added there will be no migration process needed when switching between the old and new versions of SuperMate.
“You can process a fund in Classic then switch to the new SuperMate to benefit from the fast processing, or vice versa,” he said.
This update to SuperMate will deliver improvements to user maintenance and security, he said.
“Users will now require a unique email address associated with their login. This is an important change that improves security in line with latest best practice,” he said.
“With SuperStream going live in the last release, we have implemented a range of quality-of-life improvements – changes that make working within the new SuperStream requirements easier for our users.”
