Heffron expands SMSF toolkit offering

Heffron super toolkit

Heffron has added a new subscription option to its Super Toolkit offering alongside new collaboration tools and integration with a software provider.

Heffron has continued to build out its Super Toolkit offering for SMSF practitioners with new collaboration tools and integration with a specilaist software provider.

The administration platform provider stated its most recent upgrade expanded on its base subscription model, which was priced at $22 per month per use, to now include a professional subscription at $200 per month for an unlimited number of users.

The firm noted the professional subscription would allow access for multiple users from within a firm to collaborate in a single account and retain the ability to share documents with third parties, such as trustees or financial advisers.

The toolkit was launched in March 2020 with an investment strategy set-up tool and has been expanded to include a strategy review tool and COVID-19 rent relief tool.

These tools are all available via a basic and professional subscription model, but the latter also includes a pension establishment tool, according to the Heffron website.

Heffron managing director Meg Heffron said the changes were the “next evolution of our Super Toolkit” and “our intention is to provide tools that enable intermediaries and trustees to play the role they want to play with SMSFs”.

“For some this might simply be providing a compliance document. For others, it will be guiding them through the key decision points for a range of different SMSF events or activities,” Heffron said.

The professional subscription will also include integration with SMSF software provider BGL 360 and allow client details to be populated in documents as they are created.

“The BGL integration is something we are extremely proud of. This will save our clients time by allowing fund and member data to be automatically pre-populated from BGL 360,” Heffron said.

Heffron and BGL were both named as category winners in this year’s selfmanagedsuper CoreData SMSF Service Provider Awards in the administration and SMSF software categories, respectively.
