SuperConcepts has appointed an interim chief executive to replace outgoing CEO Lara Bourguignon.
Following the SMSF administration service provider’s announcement last week that Bourguignon would be stepping down from her role, SuperConcepts confirmed its former chief information officer, Grant Christensen, would be the company’s new interim chief executive from 18 December.
SuperConcepts chair Stuart Forsyth said: “Grant is an exceptional internal candidate with a detailed knowledge of the business and the services we provide having fulfilled several executive roles within the SuperConcepts group since 2006.
“This gives us stability and continuity into 2021, which will see the culmination of four years of transformation that will deliver better administration services and software solutions to our clients.”
Christensen, who has worked across the SMSF industry for 15 years, previously ran the SuperConcepts YourSMSF administration business for two years.
“We are now completing that journey of combining all of the businesses that we have acquired,” he said.
“Our next phase is about having the ability to focus on what we do well by providing high-quality administration to our clients and having the expertise to keep them safe.”
Bourguignon took on the SuperConcepts chief executive role in April 2019, picking up from interim chief executive Adrian Urquhart, who stepped into the position in early 2019 after the departure of Natasha Fenech in late 2018.
“Lara has achieved great things in her time as CEO, including rolling out significant improvements to the SuperMate platform, the internal workflow system, managing the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift to a flexible workforce and elevating the SuperConcepts Net Promoter Score by 41.5 per cent in just over 12 months,” Forsyth said.
“I think it is really wonderful to have someone with Grant’s experience at the helm. It will provide continuity and certainty to our people and clients into the new year,” Bourguignon said.
