Class appoints new tech officer

Class technology officer

Class has announced its first new appointment since its recent NowInfinity acquisition, naming a former AMP and ANZ exec as chief technology officer

Class has announced the appointment of a former AMP and ANZ technology director as its new chief technology officer.

The SMSF administration software provider announced Alexis Rouch would step into the role, previously held by Dan Coutts, as it continues to carry out its new growth strategy, which includes investing $12 million this year on product and technology development, as well as partnerships, investments and acquisitions.

Class chief executive Andrew Russell said the appointment was the result of consideration about what was required to run the business in its current form, but also into the future as part of the growth strategy.

“Alexis brings a wealth of technology transformation and leadership experience, and I know she will be a valuable member of the executive leadership team, as well as a strategic, innovative and people-focused leader for the technology team,” Russell said.

Prior to taking on the role with Class, Rouch held technology leadership roles with Medical Media, AMP, WorkSafe Victoria, ANZ, PWC and Accenture.

“Technological development is ever-present, but Class’ investment this year as it pivots its business is a compelling reason to become a part of the team. I am looking forward to helping Class design and implement new services and technologies that will enable it to continue to be an invaluable technology partner for its customers,” she said.

The latest appointment follows the acquisition of compliance and documentation platform NowInfinity in January for $25 million and a number of appointments in mid-2019, after the appointment of Russell in February 2019.
