BGL Corporate Solutions has signed an agreement with online peer portfolio comparator, SelfWealth, allowing clients to liken the performance of their SMSFs to others.
BGL’s Simple Fund 360 offering will provide clients with direct access to the SelfWealth solution where portfolios can be compared to peers as well as professional investment managers and also track the movements of successful SMSF investors.
“This is the first time SMSFs have really been able to compare performance with other SMSFs,” BGL managing director Ron Lesh said.
“SelfWealth can be used by our clients in a number of different ways – accounting firms may wish to provide SelfWealth to their clients to help them improve investment performance and financial planning firms may wish to use SelfWealth to compare the performance of their advisers with the SMSF community.”
The fund comparator solution will be provided free of charge to all Simple Fund 360 clients in the first year.
Lesh said clients would be able to opt in on a fund-by-fund basis or for all the SMSFs they administer.
“SelfWealth can also be white-labelled by BGL client firms,” he said.
In addition, a BGL200 index will be created, allowing clients to compare their fund’s performance against the top 200 funds.
Simple Fund 360 will be released as a closed beta version in late July 2013 and made available to all BGL clients in late 2013.
