SMSF specialist administration and educational provider SuperConcepts has confirmed the new launch date for the latest version of its SuperMate SMSF accounting software, after originally announcing plans to unveil it at next week’s now-postponed SMSF Association conference.
The latest iteration of SuperMate has been scheduled for release during an online SuperConcepts event on 23 February, after the original launch at the 2022 SMSF Association National Conference was cancelled due to the conference being postponed because of coronavirus concerns.
SuperConcepts chief technology officer Andy Forbes said the online event would allow the provider to include a guided tour of SuperMate.
“We’re really keen to get this software out to market so switching to an online event just made sense. It will also enable us to provide a really clear demo of the product,” Forbes said.
“Some of the features I’m looking to showcase are the new drag and drop and data extraction capabilities, improved foreign currency and asset support, property settlement worksheets, fast asset processing and significantly improved lodgements.
“It’s been nearly 13 years since SuperMate Classic was designed and released and has had continual updates since then.
“Whilst SuperMate Classic is a powerful administration system, we knew we could improve and streamline it if we moved to a web-based interface – and that’s exactly what we’ve done.
“There is no migration required for our existing SuperMate Classic users, whilst new clients can make use of our migration concierge service – we’ll look at this in more detail at the launch as well as pricing and our introductory offer.”
In order to ensure clients are supported through the upgrade process, SuperConcepts will allow new users to access SuperMate in stages following the launch date and will have the new product on display at the SMSF Association conference in April.
