The selfmanagesuper SMSF Professionals Day 2017 marked the first time the annual event was hosted with new event partner SuperConcepts.

Melbourne hosted the 2017 SMSF Association National Conference, which attracted a record number of around 1700 delegates and marked the final event for outgoing chief executive Andrea Slattery.

The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) held its fourth National Congress in Melbourne last November.

Excellence among industry service providers was again recognised at the selfmanagesuper and CoreData SMSF Service Provider Awards.

The fourth annual SMSF Service Provider Awards night hosted jointly by selfmanagesuper and CoreData was held at NSW Parliament House in September. The awards recognise excellence in providing services to the sector.

The 2016 SMSF Association National Conference was held in Adelaide for the first time in six years. Around 1400 delegates travelled to the industry body’s home city for the event.

The annual SMSF Strategies Day with Grant Abbott was held across the country in July. The Sheraton on the Park was the venue for the Sydney leg and attracted close to 300 delegates.

The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) Victoria Congress 2016 was held at the RACV Torquay Resort in March. Around 120 accounting professionals attended the event.
