Legislative amendments that would allow more Australians to access their superannuation benefits early as a COVID-19 economic relief measure are unlikely, according to an industry body.

Satisfaction among SMSF members increased in March despite significant falls in Australian equities, the latest research into the superannuation industry has shown.

The government will look to the large sums held by SMSFs and concessions available to funds as a source of money to repay borrowings related to COVID-19 relief measures.
