Class adds to share registry connections

Class has expanded one of its current share registry connections and added another, while also setting up a cash statement feed from CBA.

Class has expanded the registry data and document feed capabilities of its accounting and SMSF administration software, providing further access to trusted information on its platform and minimising manual document collection for fund portfolios.

Specifically, the SMSF administration software provider has added an integration for unlisted investments through Automic, new independently assured registry document feeds with MUFG Pension & Market Services and a direct-connect document feed from Commonwealth Bank of Australia to integrate cash statements from the bank directly into the platform.

The further integration with Automic, which was first developed in April last year, will deliver registry-sourced balances and supporting documents for unlisted holdings directly into Class and extended ownership verification beyond listed securities.

The firm noted the enhancements have been delivered at a time when 44 per cent of SMSF accountants were identifying workflow automation as a key requirement in administration software, with Class and NowInfinity product general manager Angelique Faes adding fund administration will be driven by the connection between data, automation and processes to reduce manual effort.

“The opportunity isn’t simply access to more data. It’s bringing trusted information directly into the workflows SMSF professionals rely on every day, reducing their time spent sourcing and validating information and creating more capacity to focus on delivering better outcomes for their clients,” Faes said.

“As portfolios become more complex, SMSF professionals need greater visibility across both listed and unlisted investments.

“By extending ownership verification and registry-driven workflows to unlisted investments, we’re continuing to build trusted automation that enables professionals’ complete compliance and reporting obligations with more efficiency.”
