Heffron has expanded its line-up of experienced staffers with the appointment of Natasha Panagis to the new role of senior SMSF education specialist.
Panagis started with the firm last week, having previously held the role of head of technical services at the Institute of Financial Professionals Australia for five years. Prior to that, she was a senior technical manager at AIA Australia for more than three years and also held a similar role at Aged Care Steps for nearly four years.
She will be based in Sydney as part of Heffron’s SMSF technical and education team, but will work within its group of educators and technical specialists located in Sydney, Maitland, Brisbane and Perth, and report directly to head of SMSF technical and education services Lyn Formica.
Commenting on the appointment, Heffron stated Panagis would be involved in preparing and presenting virtual and in-person educational content for professionals and SMSF trustees, improving its internal capabilities with education, internal resources and responsive training, developing and growing online courses and internal resources, and acting as a thought leader and expert on technical and policy issues.
“The position is new and a welcome addition to Heffron’s SMSF training and educational know-how,” the firm told selfmanagedsuper.
“Natasha brings years of technical knowledge and skills in educating advisers and accountants, but also adds experience in policy and advocacy that will expand our abilities to contribute to our industry.
