Specialist accounting software provider Class has made two artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solutions available to users aimed at making SMSF administration more efficient and practitioner procedures less labour intensive.
The SMSF Financial Reporting Video has been launched to convert client portfolios into clear, visual and engaging summaries from complex financial information.
The Intelligent Matching feature has the ability to recommend matches for routine transactions, highlight exceptions requiring review and provide confidence ratings so accountants can assess and approve recommendations before they are applied through the use of AI.
This facility has been developed to improve transaction reconciliation, which was nominated in the May 2026 Investment Trends “SMSF Adviser and Accountant Report” as the one task where time savings could be achieved.
The new solutions now exist to satisfy practitioner demand for AI-driven solutions that will deliver tangible productivity improvements, according to Class and NowInfinity product general manager Angelique Faes.
“Accountants are looking for technology that helps reduce administrative burden without compromising quality, transparency or control,” Faes noted.
“By embedding AI directly into the workflows they use every day, we’re helping accountants spend less time on manual reconciliation and reporting tasks and more time delivering insights, value and better client experiences.”
Class has launched these new solutions as the accounting profession is increasing its adoption of AI as reflected in the Agile Market Intelligence “State of AI in Accounting Report 2026”. To this end, the research showed nearly half of accountants already using AI and more planning to adopt it.
The analysis indicated accountants are turning to technology to improve efficiency while maintaining quality in the face of rising compliance obligations and changing client expectations.
The new features have resulted from the Class collaboration with Rhellm and have been integrated with Class Super.
The software provider pointed out the new development reflects its commitment to improve productivity in the accounting profession through the use of technology.
