Future2 grant program open for 2026

The Future2 grant program, which lets financial professionals nominate community groups supporting financial well-being, has opened.

The Make the Difference Grants Program of the Future2 Foundation, the charitable organisation of Australia’s financial services profession, is now open, with sector professionals able to nominate causes in their community that support financial well-being for funding.

Via the grant program, Future2 Foundation hopes to build stronger financial futures for Australians. Past grants have supported financial literacy initiatives for women escaping domestic and family violence, financial education programs for school-aged children and projects supporting people facing homelessness.

Nominations must be endorsed by those working within the financial services profession and community groups cannot apply for grants directly. The program gives financial professionals an opportunity to support causes they have seen make a real difference to people’s lives.

“Every day, financial services professionals help build stronger financial futures for their clients. The Make the Difference Grants Program provides an opportunity to extend that impact even further by supporting grassroots causes that are helping people overcome financial disadvantage, build confidence and create brighter futures within their communities,” Future2 chair Julie Berry explained.

The grants support financial well-being across the four key funding areas of young Australians, Australians in need, women, and regional and remote communities.

Since it was established in 2007, Future2 has distributed more than $1.9 million through 192 grants and has a goal to improve the financial well-being of 20,000 Australians by 2030.

Last year alone it supported 12 groups across the country with community grants totalling $197,000.

“We know there are incredible groups doing life-changing work across Australia. If you’re a financial services professional who has seen that impact first-hand, we encourage you to nominate them. Your nomination could help unlock funding that allows their work to reach even more people,” Berry said.
