JP Morgan unveils ETF guide

A quarterly publication dedicated to Australian investors of Exchange Traded Funds [ETF]s was released today as educational guidance.

A global asset manager seeking to educate advisers and investors about ETFs has issued a new guide on the sector and its workings.

JP Morgan Asset Management has released a new guide on exchange-traded funds (ETF) aimed at financial advisers to provide them with information about the products on offer and the changing state of the asset class.

The “Guide to ETFs – Australia” will be a quarterly publication and is part of the asset manager’s global ETF Insights program under which it provides practical resources to financial professionals and investors.

The investment firm stated despite the popularity of ETFs, there was still demand for information on their structure and market dynamics, which the guide, led by JP Morgan Asset Management chief ETF strategist Jon Maier and his team, would aim to meet.

JP Morgan Asset Management global head of ETFs Travis Spence said: “ETFs have become an indispensable investment structure for both individual investors and financial professionals, and the ‘Guide to ETFs’ underscores our commitment to enhancing education in the ETF industry.

“Our ‘Guide to ETFs’ aims to provide advisers with the critical insights needed to fully capitalise on the opportunities that the ETF vehicle offers.”

Topics covered in the guide include active ETFs, the fixed-income ETF ecosystem and the role ETFs can play in enhancing diversified portfolios.

Maier added the guide was also designed to educate clients on sector opportunities and keep investors up to date with the latest economic trends so they can capitalise on the opportunities an ETF vehicle offered.

“ETF adoption is growing at a rapid pace and our ‘Guide to ETFs’ provides insights and practical knowledge that helps investors to make better-informed investment decisions,” he said.

“By addressing key trends and innovations, the ‘Guide to ETFs’ aims to equip investors with the tools needed to optimise their portfolios by leveraging the ETF structure.”
