Ausiex launches global trading platform

Ausiex International Markets Trading platform Brett Grant

Ausiex has introduced a new solution designed specifically for financial advisers looking to provide their clients with direct access to international investment opportunities.

Ausiex has introduced a new trading platform designed for financial advisers looking to provide clients with access to global markets following an increase in demand from Australian investors for direct exposure to international equities.

The International Markets platform enables trading across multiple asset classes, including equities and exchange-traded funds (ETF), in markets across North America, Europe and Asia. It also supports settlement in up to 10 currencies, offering multi-currency wallets to simplify cross-border transactions.

Ausiex head of product Brett Grant noted the platform seeks to address the rising demand for global portfolio diversification among local investors.

“The ‘Australian Securities Exchange 2023 Australian Investor Study’ shows more Australians are investing directly in international shares than ever before,” Grant said.

“International equities are already the major single asset allocation for several big institutional investors, though allocations vary depending on their fund objective, risk tolerance and what they are seeking in terms of returns.

“Our new International Markets offering makes it easy for advisers, brokers and wealth management institutions, SMSF trustees and other wholesale market participants to invest directly in more global assets to support the diversification of client portfolios.”

The platform offers access to a wide range of global equities and ETFs unavailable in Australia, covering 18 major markets, including the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

In addition to market access, the platform includes advanced trading tools, such as watch lists, screeners and conditional orders. It also features integrated market research, reporting tools and portfolio management capabilities, allowing advisers to more effectively manage investments.

“Financial advisers, stockbrokers and their investor clients can also better monitor those assets through a range of real-time information and reporting tools on a sophisticated and intuitive platform,” Grant noted.

The new offering complements Ausiex’s existing Australian Shares platform, giving advisers a single solution for trading both domestic and international securities. International Markets accounts can be opened separately or together with an Australian Shares account when registered online.

Ausiex also plans to expand market coverage on the platform and provide further integrations with its Australian equities version, which is used by more than 4400 financial advisers.
