The Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) has improved the platforms it uses to connect consumers with financial advice by upgrading its Find a Planner tool and redesigning its consumer-focused Money & Life website.
The new search facility has an improved user interface with more options to filter results by credentials, areas of specialisation and focus, languages spoken, gender and years of experience, and a keyword search will find any relevant words used in a FAAA member’s profile.
The association’s members now have the ability to update their profiles, providing information on fees and whether clients can meet with them virtually or face to face, and links can be added to social media, Financial Adviser Register or Adviser Ratings profiles.
FAAA membership general manager Tania Milnes said the updated search tool was the final step in the organisation’s digital transformation, which included a redesign of the Money & Life website to make it a consumer hub focused on financial well-being where members could also contribute their expertise and knowledge.
“Our members have told us that greater engagement with consumers was something they would like to see from the FAAA. The relaunch of the Find a Planner tool and revamped Money & Life website, including a monthly newsletter, are key elements of this focus,” Milnes said.
“Money & Life offers insights and tips from FAAA members and other experts to help Australians take control of their financial future, as well as better understand the value of advice, while the Find a Planner tool will enable them to find the right adviser for them.”
The changes to both sites precede a planned marketing campaign later this year to encourage consumers to use the Find a Planner resource.
The FAAA Find a Planner tool is the successor to similar search functions offered by the Financial Planning Association and Association of Financial Advisers prior to their merge in April 2023 and this upgrade is the first major update since that time.
