New level of IFPA membership on offer

IFPA Membership Pippa McKee

Members of the Institute of Financial Professionals Australia are now able to access a premium level of membership that has just been launched.

The Institute of Financial Professionals Australia (IFPA) has announced it is providing a new platinum membership that will build upon its existing offerings.

“This premium tier of membership is designed to go beyond the extensive benefits of our professional membership,” IFPA chief executive Pippa McKee told delegates during her welcoming speech at the industry body’s 2024 conference held in Melbourne last Friday.

“Platinum offers you more than just your membership. It’s a way to fully immerse yourself in everything that IFPA has to offer.”

McKee pointed out some of the benefits of the highest level of membership include unlimited access to the webinars IFPA hosts, access to all tax and superannuation groups where individuals can participate either in person or online, complimentary admittance to the body’s annual conference and access to the CPD (continuing professional development) Pro package.

This last feature will provide members with over 40 hours of CPD content to assist them in satisfying their continual education obligations.

Further, McKee made it known IFPA is offering a discounted fee for people interested in taking up the new level of membership.

“This package is valued at over $5000, but we will make it available to members for an annual fee of $1200 or $100 per month as an alternative option,” she said.

In addition, she pointed out taking up platinum membership now will not penalise or disadvantage practitioners who have already committed to some of the services on offer.

“To any member who is already signed up to our tax and discussion groups this year … we are offering a full refund of those fees if you wish to upgrade to platinum,” she said.

According to McKee, the new level of membership is not the only initiative members will notice in the immediate future.

“IFPA is transforming. Members will shortly see evidence of this through a brand new website and member portal,” she said.

“These significantly improved assets are designed to offer you a more intuitive user experience [with] a comprehensive resources library, real-time industry updates, exclusive member-only webinars and also a simplified membership management tool.

“We’re confident these updates and improvements will make your interaction with IFPA more engaging and useful.”
