SMSF audit firm ASF Audits has made two key appointments to its executive team, with Andrew Culley named as chair and Casey McGrath taking over as managing director to replace Richard Smith, who will remain at the company in another position.
McGrath steps into the role of managing director after serving as the audit director of ASF Audits’ Melbourne operations for five years. Previously, he was the founder and principal for almost seven years of Nest Super and joined ASF Audits as a director when the company acquired Nest Super in 2019.
“I am thrilled to be taking on the role of managing director at ASF Audits and lead a team of dedicated professionals,” McGrath said.
“With our collective expertise and commitment to excellence, I am confident that we will continue to exceed the expectations of our clients and strengthen ASF Audits’ position as a trusted provider of SMSF audit services.”
He thanked Smith, who will transition into the new role of director of strategic development after 14 years as managing director.
“Under his guidance, ASF Audits has flourished and we are grateful for his dedication to our company’s purpose and values,” he said.
Culley joins ASF Audits after serving for almost 14 years in several roles at professional services firm Deloitte, including as a managing partner. Prior to that, he worked as a management consulting partner at accounting and advisory firm MHM for a decade.
He said he looked forward to contributing to the company’s growth and success.
“ASF Audits has established itself as a leader in providing SMSF audit services and I am excited to work alongside the talented team to further enhance our offerings and deliver value to our clients,” he said.
