Class names new operations manager

Class Kate Anderson

Class has recruited an experienced financial services executive Kate Anderson from an advice firm to head up its operations team.

Class has appointed Kate Anderson to the newly formed role of operations general manager at the Hub24-owned SMSF administration platform.

Anderson joins Class from Centrepoint Alliance where she was group executive for advice services and solutions for nearly three-and-a-half years and prior to that worked at IOOF (now Insignia) for five years, first as head of technical services and then as head of business support.

Previously, she was head of technical at SuperIQ, Midwinter and SmartSuper and has also worked at Mariner Financial, Zurich Financial Services, AM Corporation and Bankers Trust in a career of more than 25 years in financial services.

Class stated Anderson began her new job on 28 August and brings a wide range of industry experience, including in SMSFs, to the role.

“Leading our newly established operations function, which brings together key process improvement, delivery, risk and client training functions from across the business, Kate is a passionate people leader with significant strategic and commercial acumen, and I’m delighted to have her join the Class leadership team,” Class chief executive Tim Steele said.

Anderson added she was also pleased to be heading up the operations team during an “exciting phase” for the business and helping to drive its further expansion.

Following the appointment of Steele to the role of chief executive in mid-2022, Class appointed four general managers across different parts of its business.
