The parent group of SMSF document provider Light Year Docs has restructured its leadership team and appointed Michael Jeffriess as its new chief executive.

LightYear Group, the parent company of SMSF and legal document provider LightYear Docs, has announced a change in its leadership structure and the appointment of a new chief executive.

LightYear Group company secretary and non-executive director Michael Jeffriess has been appointed to the chief executive role that in turn has led to other updates in the group’s leadership structure.

To this end Chairman, director and founder of LightYear Group Grant Abbott has been appointed head of legal, Ashleigh Jaremyn is now head of operations, product and development, and Ben Gill is the organisation’s head of sales and marketing. All three will report through to Jeffriess and all four will maintain director roles on the group’s board.

“Michael brings a wealth of experience in both the accounting and advisory industry and in c-suite roles covering off leading teams, mergers and acquisitions, and governance. Importantly Michael has vast experience in both capital raising and ASX listing,” Abbott noted.

He also revealed the company had a recently completed capital raising from existing and new investors.

Further he explained those funds will be used to continue the development of the group’s platform and increase its sales and marketing initiatives with Jaremyn adding LightYear Docs was in a development phase and would release a number of integrations and workflows in the first quarter of this year.

“These include a brand-new integration with BGL CAS360 and other BGL products, internal data synchronisation and step-by-step workflows enabling users to be guided through single and multi-document creation processes,” Jaremyn said.

The change in leadership follows the recent addition of the LightYear Training Group, which will be formally launched in February, and offer a range of short and long term training which will be overseen by Abbott.
