SuperConcepts adds portfolio management tool

SuperConcepts will add a stand-alone portfolio management tool for advisers and accountants to its product suite.

SuperConcepts will soon release a portfolio management tool for financial advisers and accountants that will allow them to include any asset a client may hold and to integrate the information with the firm’s SMSF accounting software.

The new tool, SuperMate Portfolio, will be an end-to-end investment portfolio management software for trusts, companies and individuals and will provide automated capital gains tax (CGT) record-keeping and financial reporting tasks.

The SMSF administrator currently offers an in-house investment portfolio service and a similar practitioner-driven tool is currently available via SuperMate Classic, but the latest version will be a stand-alone, cloud-based version available to practitioners and will work with the firm’s current software products.

SuperConcepts chief technology officer Andy Forbes said: “SuperMate Portfolio works hand-in-hand with our SMSF software, allowing users to administer both SMSFs and portfolios on one platform, leveraging time-saving features and ways of working across both products.

“Many firms are using old, difficult-to-use portfolio management software and paying a premium for it.

“This product enables accountants to enhance their client value proposition – it makes tracking CGT easy and has sophisticated reporting that clients will love.”

SuperMate Portfolio will be launched on 30 November during an online event that will include the end-to-end processing of a portfolio, a demonstration of automated document data extraction and an overview of reporting and branding capabilities.

The addition of the portfolio management tool will see SuperConcepts offer its software via two channels – one for SMSFs and one for investment portfolios, and follows the addition of specialist consultancy services in September covering death, divorce and estate planning matters, compliance of assets treatments within an SMSF, and guidance on technical matters including documents, and remediation services to examine possible solutions to fund problems.
