The SMSF Association (SMSFA) has launched a toolbox to help members promote their specialist skills to advisers, current and potential clients.
The toolbox will provide SMSFA members with guides to promote their specialisation as well as ready-to-use marketing and advertising materials.
The resources are aligned to the SMSFA’s fellow specialist and accredited specialist categories. They outline a ‘roadmap’ that explains how members can include their specialist designation on social media, email signatures, and company letterheads. They can also include their designations on business cards and other promotional material.
The SMSFA also encouraged specialists to update their member profile in the association’s online directory. The directory, which is open to the public, highlights any specialist skills they may have. It also allows them to display their Fellow or Specialist Certificates in a public place in their office.
Last month, the Association expanded the technical services available for fellow, specialist and associate members. They added the recordings and technical papers of past national conferences to its member-accessible library.
At the same time it also announced the appointment of Fabian Bussoletti, formerly a member of AMP’s TapIn technical services team, as Technical Manager. He will be working alongside technical strategy manager Mary Simmons and policy manager Tracey Scotchbrook.
