DomaCom names new CEO and chair

DomaCom has appointed a new chair and chief executive following the departure of CEO Arthur Naoumidis.

Fractional investing platform DomaCom has undergone a turnover of senior figures, resulting in the appointment of a new chair, chief executive and board director.

Economist and former Liberal Party leader John Hewson has been appointed as DomaCom’s new non-executive chair, with former chair Grahame Evans to remain on the board as non-executive deputy chair.

Following the immediate departure of DomaCom chief executive Arthur Naoumidis, experienced financial services leader John Elkovich has been appointed to the position. Elkovich has worked in financial services in Australia and Asia for more than 30 years and was most recently the head of a major bank partnership with Prudential Assurance Company in Singapore.

On behalf of the board, Hewson recognised Naoumidis’s commitment to and leadership of DomaCom after founding the platform more than a decade ago.

“Arthur’s entrepreneurial skills in identifying and bringing a revolutionary new offering to the market demonstrates his innate capacity to pioneer in a marketplace which has lacked invention. We wish him well in his future endeavours,” he said.

Angela Williams will also join the board as an experienced marketer in the financial technology area.

Despite the restructuring, the new board, management and major shareholders have confirmed their confidence in DomaCom providing investment opportunities in the marketplace, the company said.

The board has also noted its intent to submit a relisting application for the company, and following a short review will start a major fundraising round to take advantage of growth and scale opportunities for DomaCom.
