SuperConcepts leadership team takes shape

SuperConcepts appointments

SuperConcepts has made two new appointments to its leadership team that are expected to improve its product development processes.

Specialist SMSF administration software provider SuperConcepts has made two key appointments to its leadership team, effective immediately, that it expects will strengthen its ability to execute product development initiatives currently underway.

The organisation has appointed Andy Forbes to the role of chief technology officer permanently, a position he has held in an interim capacity since February.

In addition, the company has filled the role of chief information officer with the promotion of Jim Robinson. The job had been vacant since December 2020 when current chief executive Grant Christensen took on his new responsibilities.

Forbes has predicted his appointment will bolster the technology team’s current process of developing the SuperMate platform.

“We’re hitting our internal milestones and are on track to launch the new and improved product very early in 2022,” he said.

“I’m confident that this appointment provides certainty to staff and users alike that we’re on the right track and enables us to continue our ambitious plan to be the best SMSF, portfolio and SAF (small Australian Prudential Regulation Authority funds) administration software in the market.”

Robinson has been promoted from his previous role of IT and cybersecurity executive manager, a position he has held since February 2019. He brings over 25 years of information technology experience to the SuperConcepts leadership team.

“IT is the backbone of our business and Jim has led us through an amazing period of stability capped by our attainment of ISO 27001 and SOC II during the past two years,” Christensen said.

“This is a pivotal move for us in terms of solidity as we strengthen our leadership team further and I am thrilled to be working closely with Andy and Jim.

“We have a huge opportunity in front of us to continue our growth and deliver greater choices for our customers in their SMSF needs. Having the right team is paramount to achieving this.”

Christensen was confirmed as the organisation’s permanent chief executive last month.
