SMSF administrator SuperGuardian has been recognised as an approved educator by the SMSF Association (SMSFA) under its accredited education provider program.
“Having recently received acknowledgement from the ATO for once again exceeding the on-time lodgement requirements, and thereby satisfying our core purpose, we are pleased to turn to one of our ancillary purposes of assisting the SMSFA in lifting the standards of SMSF advice and services through quality SMSF education for professionals,” SuperGuardian stated.
The fund administrator noted its education program, led by education manager Tim Miller, would blend strategic client engagement with ongoing compliance competencies.
“The program includes in-house training (including online) for professionals, an annual webinar series and workshop-style courses,” it added.
“This comes at a time when CPD (continuing professional development) is more important, and more closely regulated, for financial professionals, and SuperGuardian’s independent business model positions it well to support them.”
SMSF educator and consultant Miller signed with SuperGuardian as its new education manager in September 2019.
“Having one of Australia’s most trusted and personable SMSF educators, Tim Miller, leading our education offering ensures our clients will receive on-point and timely information, whilst also satisfying their ongoing professional development needs. We also look forward to broadening the reach of our education offering beyond our administrative client base,” SuperGuardian added.
SMSF Association chief executive John Maroney said: ‘We are very pleased to announce SuperGuardian as an SMSF Association accredited educator. SuperGuardian is a highly regarded specialist SMSF administrator and this announcement recognises their strong commitment to education and improving the quality of advice in the SMSF sector.
“It’s a privilege to have SuperGuardian on board and we are looking forward to working with them on our shared goal of lifting advice competency standards in the SMSF sector.”
The association launched its accredited educators program in January, approving Heffron, Smarter SMSF and SuperConcepts as the body’s inaugural accredited education providers.
