BT enhances SMSF reporting on Panorama

BT Panorama SMSF reporting

BT has made a number of changes to its flagship investment platform, Panorama, including an enhanced SMSF reporting dashboard.

BT has made a range of enhancements to its investment platform, Panorama, including a new SMSF member dashboard that offers extra reporting functions and external access for accountants.

The changes come as the platform exceeds $20 billion in funds under administration and also include further advice plan integration with Xplan and improvements to portfolio management tools.

The enhanced SMSF dashboard will display externally held assets and member level balances, as well as a sliding scale for contribution caps, and offer contribution and pension reports. Accountants will also have access to real-time data where they are using supported software.

Advisers using the platform will also be able to generate a record of advice (ROA) through the platform and gain client consent digitally, with both the ROA and consent recorded and sent to desktop software Xplan, where it will be added to the client file.

The wealth manager has also added account-level portfolio construction and rebalancing tools where the portfolios can hold a blend of listed securities and managed funds that can be rebalanced back to target allocations based on client instructions.

BT platforms, investments and operations general manager Kathy Vincent said the enhancements were designed to increase the stability and performance of the platform and add new features to deliver advice efficiently.

Further enhancements would focus on managed accounts, including being able to construct nested investment options through the use of separately managed accounts (SMA) within other SMA models, and expanding the managed fund fee rebate capability across all managed account offers.
