State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) will launch multi-asset ETF model portfolios that will be available to advisers on a number of platforms in the second half of 2019.
The ETF Model Portfolios will use an open architecture investment structure allowing ETFs from all providers to be considered to ensure investment selection is not limited by sector, asset class or product issuer.
The portfolios consist of two types of investment strategies: State Street Risk-Based ETF Model Portfolios and the State Street Income ETF Model Portfolio.
The risk-based model portfolio will offer moderate, balanced and growth options aimed at pursuing optimal capital efficiency over the long term by investing in multiple ETFs. Asset classes include domestic and international equities and investment-grade debt securities.
The income model portfolio will provide exposure to income and yield-generating investments via multiple ETFs across different asset classes, such as high dividend domestic and international equities, and investment-grade and high-yield debt securities.
The ETF models would be managed by State Street Global Advisors’ investment solutions group and include State Street SPDR and third-party ETFs.
SPDR ETFs head for Australia and Singapore Meaghan Victor said: “Our new suite of ETF Model Portfolios will provide financial advisers with convenient, cost-effective access to State Street’s institutional asset management expertise.
“In today’s environment, we believe the transparent and open architecture nature of our models will further support advisers to achieve the best outcomes for their clients.”
