Hub24 unveils education service

Investment and superannuation platform provider Hub24 has launched a managed portfolio education portal for financial advisers.

The online service provides a range of content for financial advisers on topics including how managed portfolios work, how they differ from other investment options, and how they can allow advisers to gain efficiencies and enhance outcomes for their clients.

The hub also provides client-facing tools to support advisers in educating their clients on managing portfolios.

Advisers will be able to access the educational material in different formats, including videos, adviser case studies and white papers.

The online portal comes on the back of the “Investment Trends Managed Accounts Report 2018”, which found there was strong demand among financial advisers for more information on managed accounts.

In the report, 39 per cent of the surveyed advisers said they would like more information on the mechanics of managed accounts, how they work, and using and implementing them in client portfolios.

Additionally, only 19 per cent of advisers surveyed thought the current information available on managed portfolios was sufficient.

Hub24 managing director Andrew Alcock said: “We understand that advisers are often at very different stages in their decision-making process around implementing managed portfolios in their business.

“It’s critical that advisers understand the managed portfolio solutions available in the market are not equal and that enhanced functionality such as tax optimisation tools can make a difference to client outcomes over the long term.”
