CMC opens up to global markets

CMC Markets Stockbroking has this week launched international share trading as well as exchange-traded options (ETO) on its platforms, opening up access to global markets via one account.

The international share trading feature allows seamless access to European, Asian and United States markets, adding an additional 19,000 instruments to the platform, including equities, international exchange-traded funds (ETF) and American depository receipts.

The ETO feature provides strategy analytics modules, in-built trading strategies, margin calculations and multi-leg option orders on single tickets, giving sophisticated traders the power to combine options execution.

CMC Markets stockbroking director Andy Rogers said the ability to offer domestic and international shares on the same platform alongside ETFs, options, mFunds and thousands of other products makes its platform even more compelling for traders and investors.

“With significant uptake of our stockbroking platforms this year, enhancing the products and features available is key to our success and reinforces our promise and strategy to continue to provide a market-leading solution,” Rogers said, adding he expects international shares to be a popular feature.

“By opening up international markets to our clients, we’re providing seamless access to some of the largest markets globally, significantly increasing the trading opportunities available.

“Accessing the broader market ensures clients can take advantage of trading major global brands like the tech giants in the US, enabling them to diversify their portfolio and protect their portfolios against major events in the Australian market.”
