Storm joins new digital platform provider

Industry stalwart David Storm has joined technology firm Spitfire Corporation to head distribution for its contemporary total wealth and single ecosystem digital platform supporting advisers to deliver a consolidated offering to clients.

The platform is ideal for SMSF advisers to use for their clients.

Storm will take responsibility for Spitfire’s sales strategy and introducing the technology platform to intermediaries and institutions.

He has an in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry across advice, product solutions and investments, having held senior distribution roles at organisations such as OneVue and IOOF-owned Australian Executor Trustees, as well as being head of advice at Citibank, over his 25-year career.

Commenting on his appointment, Storm said Spitfire’s digital platform offers advisers and institutional clients a totally new proposition.

“The technological core and features that Spitfire have integrated in its solutions are an exciting advancement in the platform industry that I’m excited to be demonstrating to advisers and institutions,” he said.

“Having worked in this space since platform solutions were introduced, this platform will be a transformational change for advisers and how they manage their clients’ wealth.”

Spitfire’s proposition is to deliver a consolidated client wealth view of “any asset, in any market, at any time”.

The company said it has signed its first client and has a solid pipeline of new business to integrate onto the platform.
