Heffron appoints data specialist

Heffron SMSF Solutions has appointed Jodi Stapleton to the newly created executive role of head of data and process to lead the development and delivery of the firm’s overall data strategy.

Heffron chief executive Martin Heffron said data digitisation provided new opportunities for firms that had the capability to exploit it on behalf of their clients.

“We have excellent technology at Heffron, but in order to fully leverage the opportunity we also need to be excellent at gathering, analysing and providing timely, relevant and actionable information from that data,” Heffron said.

Stapleton, who will report to Martin Heffron, has more than 15 years’ experience, including experience within strategic information management.

She was most recently service and information delivery senior manager at Newcastle Permanent Building Society and has also held senior leadership positions in Canada.

“Self-managed super funds are a rapidly growing industry. Data is a critical topic in financial services and there are opportunities being created through technological innovation,” she said upon her appointment.

“Addressing how to harness the power of data will be a catalyst for change, enabling Heffron to better support the clients and create operational efficiencies.”
