SuperAuditors launches technical support

SuperAuditors has added SMSF technical support services to make the compliance process more straightforward for practitioners.

Designed exclusively for SMSF accountants, the new service will provide peace of mind to SMSF advisers by getting their clients back on the path to compliance.

SuperAuditors director Shelley Banton told selfmanagedsuper the service would help accountants to demonstrate to the ATO that early action was taken to rectify breaches.

Banton added the service was independent, easy to use and developed in line with the recently updated SuperAuditors website.

“We have a long history of resolving SMSF problems for our clients, which makes the new SMSF technical support service a natural extension of our business,” she explained.

SMSF problems can be resolved either online or by phone with a guaranteed 24-hour response time.

The SMSF technical support service remains complimentary to all clients for all funds audited through SuperAuditors.

“We know that the ATO understands that mistakes can be made, but early engagement is critical,” Banton said.

“And that’s where we can help.

“We will liaise with the ATO on your behalf and prepare an action plan to rectify breaches.”

SuperAuditors also has access to the Super Professional 2 Professional service for a quicker resolution.

The ATO opened its early engagement and voluntary disclosure service on 31 May, accepting notifications from SMSF trustees and practitioners of unrectified regulatory contraventions.

It will act as a centralised portal for SMSFs to notify the ATO of unrectified regulatory contraventions, and to facilitate early engagement and rectification.
