Graeme Colley departs SMSFA

The SMSF Association has announced this morning its director of technical and professional standards Graeme Colley has resigned from the professional body.

Colley left his role yesterday.

A spokesperson told selfmanagedsuper that the SMSF Association is now searching for a replacement to fill the technical and professional standards role.

Colley joined the association in 2012 and was previously national manager, technical at OnePath for over 10 years.

Before this, he worked at the ATO as technical director for five years.

“Graeme has been an important member of the technical and policy team for the past four years and I know members valued his expertise and support,” SMSF Association chief executive Andrea Slattery said.

“Graeme has been at the forefront of superannuation policy over many years, especially as it relates to SMSFs, and the association and its members have been the beneficiaries of this high level of knowledge.

“His contribution to the association and the SMSF sector extended beyond his technical and policy roles of the past four years having served diligently as a past chairman and director.

“We thank him for this significant contribution and wish him all the best for the future.”
