Class Super has added a new suite of application programming interface (API) and login functionality that will enhance the security, usability and connectivity for over 80,000 SMSFs administered on the software.
The SMSF software provider said the new Class APIs used the latest security protocol, the OAuth 2.0 framework, which delivered a secure mechanism to instantly populate data, sync information or extract data between programs.
The APIs enabled industry partners and end users to build innovative software solutions, automate data entry, pre-populate work papers and build other time-saving tools, driving significant efficiency gains, improved accuracy and enhanced user experiences, it said.
Class chief executive Kevin Bungard said the use of APIs had grown at a significant rate in the past few years, with cloud providers reshaping the way SMSF professionals worked, which was evident in a number of industries, primarily legal documentation suppliers, customer relationship management providers, property services, actuarial certificates and SMSF audit solutions.
“We watched our partners build a level of technology integration into our offering over the years and the momentum for this was only continuing,” Bungard said today.
“However, with all things Class we want to set the benchmark for integration and the release of this suite of Class APIs allows us to further enhance the Class experience.”
In addition, the Login with Class function was developed as a single facility, which provided a user-friendly and secure access process to integrated solutions, Class said.
With a single click, there was direct authentication of the end user, enabling greater security across different applications as well as a faster log-on process, it said.
A number of Class partners are participating in an early-access program for the new features, including Auditflow, CareWare, DBA, NowInfinity and Topdocs.
Additional partners will be announced in the coming months.
