Recreo Financial Technologies has launched its next-generation platform in the SMSF market after identifying a need for planners and clients to have more time to focus on financial plans, rather than working through administrative and compliance challenges.
“The growing SMSF sector is seeing a rise in the number of increasingly sophisticated investors who are looking for the edge that new technology might provide them, particularly in reducing costs,” Recreo co-founder and managing director Matthew Crooks said.
“The market’s demand for cutting administrative costs means that there are opportunities for an open platform that can provide investors immediate access and with greater transparency at a competitive price.
“The flexibility of Recreo’s platforms will allow us to provide both individual and institutional investors with more efficient and accessible services.”
Recreo’s technology performs real-time compliance checks, capital gains tax calculations and optimisation, and contains a full suite of 24/7 reporting and tax management tools.
Crooks said managing SMSFs was often made out to be complex, but with new generation administrative technology it was possible to make it a lot easier for consumers.
The firm’s website went live today.
Crooks was previously responsible for technology at Oasis Asset Management and also worked on technology strategies for ING Asia Pacific.
Recreo co-founder and director David Johnston has more than two decades’ experience in financial services and co-founded Oasis Asset Management.
