New role for ex-My Adviser managing director

Independently owned financial planning group MyPlanner Australia, formerly known as SMSF Partners, has appointed Philippa Sheehan as its new managing director.

Sheehan resigned from her position as managing director of IOOF-owned dealer group My Adviser in July and has been on personal leave for the past few months.

“I am very excited to be part of an emerging independently owned licensee that truly cares about the end client,” Sheehan said about her appointment.

“We specialise in supporting advisers, accountants and mortgage brokers who provide objective-based advice to clients.

“We have a full service offering to advisers, including training, technical, marketing, software and compliance support.

“Our growth continues to be strong as we see advisers exit from institutions and banks.”

Fourteen advisers had joined the dealer group in the last quarter of the year, she said.

MyPlanner Australia provides a range of support services to financial advisers in areas such as technical services, training, marketing, compliance and software.

The independently own dealer group is represented by over 120 offices across the country.
