Cleardocs, Macquarie join forces

Online SMSF legal document provider Cleardocs has been integrated into the Macquarie Cash Management Account (CMA) application process.

The move means SMSF trustees will be able to have all of their necessary legal documents prepared by Cleardocs when they apply for a cash management account with Macquarie.

SMSF trustees will also benefit from a more streamlined SMSF establishment process as the CMA application can be submitted electronically with pre-populated information.

“Since its inception in 2002, Cleardocs has facilitated the creation of over 1 million legal documents online, providing accountants, financial planners and lawyers with pay per use legal document creation and resources,” Cleardocs general manager Lisa Galbraith said.

“Our philosophy to provide a clear and easy-to-use platform has been amplified further through this integration with Macquarie.”

Macquarie Banking and Financial Services head of cash product Peter Forrest said the announcement demonstrated his organisation’s focus on providing the SMSF sector with greater efficiency.

“Our focus continues to be on supporting financial advisers who want solutions to help them to work more efficiently and in a streamlined manner,” Forrest said.

“This initiative further demonstrates how the integration of products with existing platforms can save valuable time for advisers in meeting the needs of their SMSF clients.”
