SMSF administration software specialist Class Super has announced the appointment of Panos Alexandratos as its new chief operating officer.
Alexandratos joins Class having previously held the position of general manager of solutions and IP with superannuation and financial institution technology provider the IQ Group. He brings with him over 25 years’ management, operations, and IT and software development consulting experience.
He will take responsibility for client service delivery and support as well as the day-to-day management of the firm’s core activities.
The opportunity to fill the role came about after previous chief operating officer Kevin Bungard was promoted to chief executive in April.
“Panos has a long and highly successful track record in superannuation,” Bungard said.
“Having previously worked with Panos at the IQ Group, I’ve experienced first-hand his tremendous business acumen and operations management expertise.
“We’re excited to have Panos join us as a key member of the Class leadership team. He will be instrumental in helping us drive the business to the next 50,000 funds and our planned IPO.”
Class said it anticipated Alexandratos would strengthen the depth of its service team as a result of his previous experience in providing technology solutions for both industry and retail funds.
Alexandratos said he was pleased to be joining Class Super’s highly skilled team.
“I look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead, applying my expertise and insights from the broader superannuation industry to deliver superior solutions and services for Class Super users,” he said.
