Class Super chief executive David Smith has left the SMSF administration platform provider after just three months in the role.
Smith resigned from the firm to focus on his involvement in Smithink 2020 and the Accountants’ Technology Showcase Australia event.
He became chief executive on 6 January.
“Both David and the board agreed that it is in David’s best interest to concentrate on his main business ventures,” Class chairman Barry Lambert said.
“Class has maintained its solid and sustainable growth and remains on track, market conditions permitting, for an initial public offering in 2015.”
The company announced chief operating officer Kevin Bungard as its new chief executive.
“The board holds Kevin in high regard, having worked closely with him for many years and having witnessed first-hand his instrumental role in driving and delivering key innovation and successes for the SMSF administration software market and for Class,” Lambert said.
“Kevin shares the directors’ aspiration to list the company as soon as practical after the 2015 year end.
“The board remains committed, subject to legal constraints at the time, of allowing Class users to become shareholders in Class.”
