SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia (SPAA) vice chair Peter Crump has released a new book about running your own super fund.
The book, Control Your Own Super Fund, was written in conjunction with industry commentator Paul Clitheroe.
Subjects covered in the publication include the level of superannuation assets needed to fund a comfortable retirement, the strategies that exist to best facilitate wealth creation and the types of superannuation choices available to Australians.
Furthermore, the book presents recent changes to the superannuation legislation in a simplified manner and provides advice on how to get the best returns from retirement savings investments.
While the publication is about superannuation, it does not look at retirement savings in isolation.
According to the authors: “The starting point is not about super – it is about you and your plans. How much money will you need? If we can sort out where you are now and what you want to achieve in the future, your decision in regard to the whys and hows of super will become a lot clearer.”
