The SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia (SPAA) has launched an online networking facility for delegates at its upcoming national conference in Brisbane next month.
The new tool will allow attendees to source other SMSF practitioners at the conference with similar interests and request business meetings with them.
“Along with the technical content, networking opportunities are the other key benefit of attending the conference, and the organisation aims to make this as easy and rewarding as possible,” SPAA director technical and professional standards Graeme Colley said.
“Delegates can plan and control their conference schedule and export it to their normal work calendar if desired, view profiles of other delegates, speakers and sponsors, use an interactive exhibition floor map, and post discussions for other delegates to participate in.
“The tool is a new feature of the spaa.mobi mobile web app and is exclusively available to registered delegates.”
The launch of the application falls in line with the association’s aims to have a strong social media presence during the conference this year.
In addition to launching the networking tool Colley issued a reminder for SMSF practitioners wanting to attend the conference to register as soon as possible.
According to Colley sponsorships for the event have been completely sold out with delegate numbers also nearing capacity.
