SMSF software provider BGL’s new offering, Simple Fund 360, has received solid support from existing clients since it was made available to them last week.
Since access to the new application was granted to clients, 25 firms have signed up for it, involving more than 200 users.
“Simple Fund 360 is the first real cloud solution available to SMSF accountants and administrators. All the other so-called SMSF cloud applications are really just old desktop applications storing data in the cloud. Simple Fund 360 is a real cloud application that can only be used with a browser – there are no desktop installs,” BGL managing director Ron Lesh said.
Under the new system, trustees, auditors and advisers can gain access to the facility without the involvement of BGL. Users can log in to Simple Fund 360 via their personal computer, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android.
The administrative application has an automation emphasis with fully integrated bank details, contract notes and registry data services.
“PDF contract notes and dividend statements are automatically attached to transactions and other documents can be easily uploaded. And with BGL’s unique SmartSign digital signing technology, the days of administrators requiring heaps of paper for their SMSFs are over,” Lesh said.
Simple Fund 360 has been operating on a closed beta basis since July, but a firm date for its release to the greater market has not yet been determined.
“We have not decided when Simple Fund 360 will go from open beta to commercial, but the software is very close. We’ll pick the most appropriate date early in 2014. The open beta period will give us the opportunity to make sure Simple Fund 360 performs as we expect,” Lesh said.
Currently clients have access to the new system for no cost.
