A new service to assist SMSF practitioners transition and develop more profitable practices has been officially launched to market.
The SMSF Design service is focussed on better pricing models for advisory businesses and is the brainchild of Proview Financial Group practice owners, Jason and Tracey Besters..
“We’ll be offering a wide variety of value added elements including identifying the right clients, articulating the value proposition, and properly pricing the SMSF advice the practitioner provides,” SMSF Design principal Jason Besters told selfmanagedsuper.
“It’s really about teaching practitioners how to make money from their client bases.”
SMSF Design is available across three packaged levels: Inner Circle, Mastermind and Think Tank.
Inner Circle works like a membership subscription, providing a monthly release of education materials, expert interviews, and a breakdown of pricing models.
Mastermind offers case studies, released quarterly, including video and workbook materials.
“The case studies are going to take mum and dad clients and analyse what they want to achieve and will break it all down. So we will actually dissect it all, build strategies around them, and look at the pricing model as well,” SMSF Design founder Tracey Besters said.
Think Tank offers access to a peer group network for client scenario analysis.
“Think Tank is very exclusive and will only be available to 50 firms across the country. So that will be five groups of 10 firms with each group meeting once a quarter with me consulting for a day and Jason consulting for a day,” she said.
“Each firm will bring a particular client scenario they’ve got right now. Then as a group we’ll break it down so they will walk away with not only their own client scenario broken down and value priced but nine other scenarios as well. So every quarter they will walk away with 10 client scenarios they can take back to their offices and apply.”
The genesis of the business came from enquiries about the successful pricing structures of Proview Financial Group.
The Inner Circle level includes a sliver service charged at $197 per month and a gold service that includes a monthly webinar costing $497 per month.
The Mastermind service will cost users $997 per month while the premium Think Tank offering will be charged at $2997 per month.
“We’re guaranteeing those prices as well. So we’re guaranteeing the client will make back at least what they spend in fees or we’ll give them their money back provided they implement the strategies provided,” she said.
“But we know based on what we would call a plain vanilla strategy involving a limited recourse borrowing arrangement we’ve charged anywhere between $20,000 and $90,000 so we know even the implementation of one strategy can more than make back what they are paying for the service.”
