IFAs to get access to Pluto admin system

Bailey Roberts Group’s internal web-based SMSF administration software is being developed for independent financial advisers (IFA) outside of the business to use.

Bailey Roberts Group chief executive Ian Bailey said Pluto was able to cut SMSF accounting time in half and allowed all investments to be accounted for within a single system, which was garnering interest from the industry.

“We developed our product called Pluto, which we’re looking to make available to other independent advisers to use,” Bailey told selfmanagedsuper.

“We’ve been operating it for six years now and we have quite a few people interested in it, so we’re hoping to bring that to market in the next six months.”

He said the software would empower advisers to “be their own fund manager”, rather than relying on a wrap platform.

“You’ve got the information and you’ve got the choices – what we’ve done is turn the whole process of managing many portfolios on an individual basis into a simple process that realistically any adviser will be able to do in the future,” he said.

“We’ve spent a lot of time, effort and money developing a technology that we think will be very exciting in the future for those advisers that want to be outside the big five banks and present themselves as an alternative to the herd.”

Pluto stores all compliance information, automatically reconciled to client bank accounts, and can be used to run model portfolios.
