Former SuperGuardian and Xpress Super chief executive and director Olivia Long has been appointed as strategy and operations managing director of national financial services and advisory firm Prime Financial Group’s wealth management and super division.
Long will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of the firm’s products and services, as well as driving its marketing and public relations activity.
“It’s an exciting time to join Prime. As an integrated accounting, wealth management and capital advisory firm for business owners and family groups, it’s on a growth trajectory, with already more than $1.1 billion in funds under management,” she said.
“I am looking forward to bringing my varied experiences and knowledge of financial services to this new role, contributing to the group’s next growth phase by working closely with and as part of the leadership team to build Prime into the leading integrated advice firm of the future.”
Long has more than two decades of management experience in the financial services sector and was at SuperGuardian and Xpress Super for over 14 years.
Before specialising in SMSFs, she spent seven years at Ord Minnett, where she was responsible for marketing, compliance and administration management.
Prime chief executive Simon Madder said: “Her extensive strategic and business development experience, including her former role as CEO of the market-leading SMSF administrator, is the ideal background for this critical role of building greater awareness of Prime and its related brands.
“Olivia is viewed as an industry leader in the SMSF sector, being highly sought after for commentary, parliamentary submissions and as a presenter at industry conferences and events.”
Australian Securities Exchange-listed Prime was founded in 1998 by accountants and has more than $1.1 billion in client funds under management.
