New insurance partnership formed

SMSF Association BizCover Numerisk Partnership

The SMSF Association has joined with a broker and specialist insurance business to offer targeted cover to its members.

The SMSF Association (SMSFA) has partnered with an insurance broker and small business insurance specialist to provide general cover tailored to the needs of its members.

Following a tender process, the association will work with online business insurance service BizCover and insurance brokerage Numerisk to offer members general cover matched to the SMSFA’s various member segments.

SMSFA chief executive Peter Burgess said: “By aligning with BizCover and Numerisk, this new offering allows us to further bolster the value we can offer to our membership.

“Not only do we support members’ career development and industry involvement, this new arrangement now allows us to better support their critical business needs too.”

The new partnership means SMSF Association members will now be entitled to a discount of up to 10 per cent on professional indemnity cover on quotes from a varied number of insurers.

Other cover available under the agreement include cyber, business, and management liability insurance.

In addition members will be able to access technical support along with the availability of fully contestable online offerings and online applications.

BizCover national partnerships manager Dan Littledyke added the new offer would “provide a better breadth of coverage and greater access to more insurers for SMSF Association members”.

“Our goal is for BizCover and Numerisk to work together to benefit the unique insurance needs of SMSF Association members,” Littledyke said.

“Drawing on Numerisk’s specialisation in financial planning and our experience with accountants and tax agents, we can offer a great experience with leading insurance rates for all SMSF Association members, not just one particular segment.”

Numerisk managing director Richard Silberman said the partnership between the three organisations had created a high-quality offering for SMSFA members.

“We are focused on developing unique data products and insights for insurers that complement our insurance-broking offering to the benefit of members,” Silberman said.

“Coupled with the immense capabilities of BizCover and the very close relationship fostered between organisations, we are uniquely positioned to bring something very different to members of the SMSF Association.”

The partnership came into effect today and will allow members to access general insurance products, some with significant member discounting, he said.
