Franklin Templeton releases flagship ETFs

Franklin Templeton ETF exchange-traded fund Global Growth Fund Australian Absolute Return Bond Fund

Franklin Templeton has released listed versions of two of its leading managed funds offering global growth and fixed income exposure to all investors.

Franklin Templeton has released exchange-traded fund (ETF) versions of two of its long-running managed fund offerings, which will offer access to global growth stocks and Australian and global fixed income securities.

The global investment firm stated it had released the Franklin Global Growth Fund (Managed Fund) (ASX code: FRGG) and Franklin Australian Absolute Return Bond Fund (Managed Fund) (ASX code: FRAR) to the local market today.

The Franklin Global Growth Fund ETF will use bottom-up stock analysis to identify and select quality growth companies and aims to delivers a concentrated but diversified portfolio of 35 to 40 stocks driven by secular growth trends.

The Franklin Australian Absolute Return Bond Fund ETF uses a combination of top-down macroeconomic insights and bottom-up fundamental research methodologies to craft a portfolio of fixed income strategies targeting absolute returns over market cycles.

Franklin Templeton managing director and head of Australia and New Zealand Felicity Walsh said: “Our range of active ETFs provide access to specialised investment strategies to meet our clients’ investment goals.

“Furthermore, listing on the ASX will mean that investors will now be able to access the investment expertise and differentiated performance attributes of these funds through intraday-traded vehicles.

“As more of our valued adviser, licensee and consultant clients build listed portfolios to complement their traditional unlisted portfolios, we want to ensure we are supporting advisers in delivering the best investment solutions possible to their clients.

“These multi-distributed ETFs will complement our existing range of active ETFs which we manage in partnership with Betashares and further expand access to our premier suite of investment strategies.”

The new funds expand Franklin Templeton’s range of ETFs to six, with the two released today being solely managed by the investment firm.
