The Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) has launched a new website to connect jobseekers in the financial advice sector with potential employers.
The FAAA Career Centre will allow employers to post jobs to the site and promote them directly to advice practitioners, while jobseekers will be able to upload their resume, highlighting their experience and qualifications to recruiters, and access resume, cover letter and online profile writing services.
To launch and run the portal, the FAAA has partnered with United States-based software provider Community Brands and is using its Your Membership Careers software to provide the site’s infrastructure.
Access to the site is free, but employers will be charged for posting advertisements, which start at around $350 for a 30-day posting, with further costs for the promotion of the job post, however, the FAAA will offer discounted rates to members of the association. Jobseekers can post a resume at no cost, but any additional services will attract fees dependent of the level of promotional services requested.
FAAA education general manager Anne Palmer said the website would attract interest from association members and non-members who were searching for staff or for new roles in the sector.
“The portal will assist those in the advice profession, no matter where they are at in their careers,” Palmer said.
“Future editions of the member communication – FAAA Weekly – containing the latest updates for members, will now include featured jobs with direct access to apply or create a new listing for your business. This will assist advertisers to reach qualified candidates as quickly as possible.
“This new resource has been designed to assist the busy working lives of our members and support them in their search for upcoming talent, a new challenge or resetting their career goals.”
