SMSF educator and consultant Tim Miller has signed with fund administrator SuperGuardian as its new education manager, and has commenced work in the role at the start of this week.
Miller currently operates his own business, Miller Super Solutions in central Adelaide, and told selfmanagedsuper the SuperGuardian position will be complementary to his own business as both forms are based in the same city.
“SuperGuardian does a lot of work with direct trustees of SMSFs and I am keen to continue working in that space and provide education to them but will also focus on SMSF professionals as well who will be working in a new world of increased professional standards,” Miller said.
In making the appointment, SuperGuardian stated: “Tim has a very practical and personable approach to SMSF education.
“In a FASEA (Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority)-led, post-royal commission landscape, his role will enable SuperGuardian to promote financial literacy around SMSFs and meet a growing need for specialist education in the broader SMSF community.”
Miller has over 20-years’ experience in the SMSF sector, which he joined after five years with the ATO’s superannuation business unit. He worked at Cavendish Superannuation (now SuperConcepts) for 16 years before founding his own business.
