BGL wins over Keep It Simple Super

SMSF administration provider Keep It Simple Super (KISS) has switched to BGL Corporate Solutions’ applications, Simple Fund 360 and CAS 360, for its administration software and compliance needs.

“Keep It Simple Super has been a long-term client and advocate of BGL. We are pleased they now feel the time is right to migrate to Simple Fund 360,” BGL managing director Ron Lesh said.

KISS had been a BGL client for 10 years using the Simple Fund Desktop offering, however, it wanted to be sure about Simple Fund 360 before transitioning to it, KISS director Julie Taylor said.

The administration service provider had been trialling Simple Fund 360 and providing feedback to BGL about preferred functionality.

“With the improvements we’ve seen over the last 18 months and the latest integration with CAS 360, we are confident now is the right time to migrate,” Taylor said.

The KISS deal comes after the recent announcement BGL will be officially launching its cloud-based Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) corporate compliance software, CAS 360, on 22 February.

The new offering has been developed to automate the company annual review process through the ability to download the annual company statement from the regulator, automatically compare ASIC data to the CAS 360 information and then send the annual company statement pack to clients via email.

CAS 360 will also provide clients with alerts regarding when certain documents must be lodged and notifications of any outstanding payments due to ASIC.

The commercial release of CAS 360 will be performed in phases.

“CAS 360 will be first available to BGL CAS Desktop clients who do not use Xero Practice Manager and/or Simple Fund 360. Releases to these groups of clients will take place over the next few weeks as integration with these products is finalised,” Lesh said.

Integration with accounting software such as Xero, Sage Handisoft and MYOB is being developed and will be rolled out progressively over the coming months.

“CAS 360 is the first application to provide seamless two-way integration across multiple client platforms,” Lesh said.

“For example, if a client updates a contact in Xero Practice Manager, CAS 360 will prompt the user to prepare the required ASIC forms and documents as well as updating the contact details in Simple Fund 360.”
